After an incredibly positive few days, the Miami show wrapped up yesterday. Miami is fast becoming a serious show in the superyacht calendar. Several impressive new launches and large brokerage yachts were seen on display this year; notably the new 65m Benetti Diamonds are Forever as well as the first hull of the restyled Benetti Classic Domani. Naturally, American shipyards were strongly represented with Trinity’s 58m Carpe Diem being the star of the show. Y.CO’s central agency, SHOOTING STAR, caused a real stir. Impressing clients with her incredible top speeds and original design, lovers of performance yachts fell in love with her ingenious use of natural light and reassuring quality.
Many Owners took advantage of the influx of potential buyers and Charterers alike and made their yachts availablefor viewing by appointment. Miami Beach Marina had a more than a dozen excellent yachts for sale and charter including new launch Harbour Island, 73m Delta Laurel and the impressive Trinity Blind Date.
Surrounded by water Miami is a natural yachting destination. With a wealth of on trend hotels, bars and restaurants it makes the ideal spot for combining a weekend of winter sun with some yacht shopping – one for the calendar for 2013!
